Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth was shown off during PlayStation latest State of Play showcase, giving us a bunch of new details alongside a release date. With a release date announcement naturally comes pre-orders, and Square Enix has revealed a couple of fancy editions if you feel like parting with a bunch more cash for the game. One of them is causing a bit of a stir though, as the Collector's Edition comes with a big ol' statue of Final Fantasy best boy Sephiroth.

First shared by Wario64, the Collector's Edition is now up for pre-order on the official Square Enix Store for a pretty whopping $349.99/£349.99, but you do get a fair amount of bang for your buck. Thankfully, this collector's edition is one of the few nowadays that actually comes with the physical game inside, but you also get an artbook, a steelbook, a physcial copy of the game's soundtrack, and a whole bunch of small DLC add-ons to redeem once you get your hands on the game next year.

The centerpiece of the collector's edition is the big Sephiroth statue though, which has our favorite villain stood on a concrete pillar surrounded by flames. It's pretty sizable too, coming in at approximately 48cm/19 inches (hello Spider-Man 2 fans), which means you'll definitely need to make space somewhere if you do order it. It also comes with a detachable wing in case you want to go with the classic Sephiroth look.

As for when you'll be able to bring Sephiroth into your household, your pre-order will likely ship for the game's release date, as Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will finally launch on February 29 next year. On top of the release date, the game's latest trailer gave us a lot more gameplay footage, including a first look at playable Cait Sith as well as a sneak peek at Vincent Valentine.

With this announcement, it seems like Final Fantasy is going to be having a pretty big year in 2024. Not only do we have Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth to look forward to, but we also have the next expansion for Final Fantasy 14 that's coming out next summer called Dawntrail. We also recently got a promise from director Naoki Yoshida that Final Fantasy 16 will be getting two paid DLC packs at some point in the future long with a PC release. It's a pretty great time to be a Final Fantasy game right now.
